I have been to several Tanger Outlets but never one this large!
This mall has everything from Nieman Marcus to Factory Direct Tools.
Notice the red brick tower on the left of NM.
If you look very very close you can see it on the right side of the first of the three distant trees. Long ways off, huh. This is the half way point. There is this much again on the other side of my car! Goodness this was one HUGE outlet mall. Momma got new shoes! LOL
When Libbie and I got back to RV park, this is what the guys were up to. They were working on the lights on Jim's toad. It seems he didn't have any.
This morning we got up and headed for Austin. Our first stop was Lady Bird's Wildflower Center.
The guys weren't to keen on this. I wish we could have seen it when everything was in bloom.
It was still a pretty place.
These muscadine vines are probably beautiful when green. We left there and went to see downtown Austin. We stopped at Barton Springs, a spring fed pool in downtown Austin. There were lots of people swimming on this nice November day. There is old downtown and then you cross the bridge
and there is new downtown. It is a beautiful city.
Sorry about the quality of this picture but I had to try to take it. This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen. It is a lamp made out of cow horns and armadillo shells. The shade is made out of two armadillo shells. WILD! This was in a shop in old downtown. There were shops full of vintage clothes and costumes and imported items from India and Mexico. Everything from handmade paper to voodoo looking dolls.
We finished off the day going to the Congress bridge waiting for the bats to come out. We waited for about 2 hrs. The bats took the night off I guess. They never showed.
We left and headed home. We stopped outside of Austin and had supper at Mi Ranchito. It would have fit in on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It was a dive but the food was excellent. We found it on Urban Spoon. It had a 97% rating. They had the best tamales I have ever tasted. Their tacos and enchiladas were also good. It was a long day
Later..
