Foundation and cable, oh my

They have been busy preparing the foundation at the house.  This foundation is different from any I have seen before.  This is an engineered foundation.  I have never seen one laid out quite like this.  Instead of just having a footing around the outside of the house, this foundation is divided up with footings!

Notice that not only do the footings run around the outside but also north to south and east to west.
The blue cable that you see criss crossing has rebar inside.

Holes are drilled through the braces and after the concrete dries, tension is pulled to tighten up and hold the concrete making it stronger.  I don't understand it, but they must believe in the process because the builder guarantees his home and foundation for 20 years.  Impressive!
If the weather permits, they are hoping to pour the foundation on Wednesday.  Some of the plumbing was not correct and should be fixed before then.  Hope the weather cooperates.

On the homefront here at the motorhome, our front a/c had to be repaired.  The fan motor went out.  Estimate was $380 for new motor and labor or $1600 for new unit (ours has heat pump also).  Our unit was original (1999) but we decided to take a chance on it.  It is working fine and we hope it lasts a few more years.
Later!

Parachutes, plumbing and precipation

Saturday was a pretty day for a drive out to the land to check on the progress.  All the dirt work is finally completed and forms out for the slab.  Plumbers managed to get a lot of the plumbing roughed in.

That's our house behind the house.  lol
                                                                  The garage before the rain.

Then the rains came. :(  Looks like a dirty pool but that is a three car garage.
Before the rains came, it was a pretty day.  There were a lot of parachutist (is that a word and is it spelled right  LOL) out.  There is a jump site not far from land.  This poor guy didn't land where he was suppose to.

Unfortunately, rain is in the forecast for the next few days.
