Time to get on the Road Again

We have had such a wonderful time here, it is hard to leave.
He has changed so much since this picture was made.
We left early Sunday morning heading for Amarillo for a few days.  It sure is a long drive for one day.  It takes about 8 hours.  I left Katy wearing shorts and arrived freezing in Amarillo.  They said we brought the cold weather because they have been having unusually warm weather until we came.
There might be something to that claim.  Before we left, I checked the weather forecast for the week and it was clear and warm, with highs in the 60's and 70's.  Well, guess what, snow is now in forecast for tomorrow.

I swear he has grown 3" since last month! He is 18 mo. old and 37" tall!

Ashlynn is becoming such a pretty young lady.  I can't believe she will be 10 in June.

I love spending time with my grandchildren.

Just enjoying all the warm weather

We have just been enjoying all the warm weather here.
We have been enjoying watching our youngest grandchild learn to walk.
Another fun thing was:  Mike surprised Kaitlyn with a birthday party.  Kaitlyn's birthday is actually Dec.27.  Her birthday being so close to Christmas kind of melts into the holiday.  They always celebrate it seperate but could never have a party because of the holidays.  Mike has been wanting to surprise her with a birthday party, so he chose a day in January when all their friends could help celebrate and he rented a party bus to pick everyone up.
I had the wrong lens on to get inside pictures. This was the best I could do.
Two big tv's, sound system, a small drink station.  What more would they need?

This is the driver for the evening.
They got in and picked up 19 of their closest friends and partied.  They went bowling too, I believe.
We got to spend the evening with this handsome feller.
The other night Lucas decided to turn his couch over and make himself a fort.

He had the best time playing in this.  Notice he has to be under fence or we can't keep up with him.  Babies are for the young you know.  LOL
We are having a good time.  It's suppose to be in the 80's this week.  These south Texas winters are hard.  Real hard.
