Just enjoying the beautiful weather here

Yesterday there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  The temperature was 79 but there was a cool breeze and it sure didn't feel that warm at all.  We took Buddy to a dog park so that he could run free and enjoy this  weather.
Buddy met lots of new friends.  This one look looked like a mini-me of Buddy.  Buddy's tongue is hanging out because they had just enjoyed a game of tag.
Of course Buddy had to walk the entire fence line to make sure there wasn't a place to escape.

There was a nice walkway all around the park.  They even had restrooms for the dog owners.  There was also a place to bathe your dogs, or just wash them off.  I didn't get a good picture but there is a large pond for them to play in.  Play they did!

Buddy had to have a bath when we got back to the motorhome.  Luckily they have a nice dog wash here.
Speaking of washing.... Betsy (aka the motorhome) got a good bath too!

Then Doug went fishing in the pond in front of us.

Unfortunately, this pond is catch and release, so no fish for us.  He caught another one right after releasing this one.  It was a big one.  It broke his line.
Here is a update photo of the new family.

                                                                       Later, ya'll!!!

May I introduce Lucas Douglas

The day finally came and we went to the hospital to meet our newest grandson.  The wait seemed to be forever.
Mike sent me a message that the assisants name was Audrey (my moms name).  I cried when he sent the next one.  He felt that his grandmother was there with them.
This was our first glimpse of Mike and the baby.  Through glass.  Since Kaitlyn had a c section, they sent Mike to the nursery with the baby while they finished up with Kaitlyn.

This was all we got to see of Lucas on his birthday.  Since he was a C-section baby, he had a little trouble with high heart rate because of fluid in his lungs.  They kept him in the nursery for 6 hours and when he was still having problems moved him to Nic-U and put him on a Cpap to open his lungs up.  Dry him out.  LOL

By the next day he was doing great.  They let him come to his room.  The red marks on his cheeks are from the tape they used to hold cpap in place.

He probably thought he was a movie star with all the flashes going off.

Yesterday we finally got a chance to put his St. Patricks Day outfit on him.  It was suppose to be worn on his birthday, which was St. Paddy's Day!

Today, Friday, they are letting them go home.    It's a good day.

Just checking in

Not a lot going on around here.  We have had a lot of rain and cool weather.  In fact today was the first day of sunshine and warmth since we have been here.
It was raining when I took this, but this is the view out our windshield since we moved to WestLake RV Resort.
This is a picture to prove that I have cooked since we have been here.  Not much, but I have.  This is pork loin in BBQ sauce cooking in the slow cooker.
Since it was so nice outside today, Doug and I went to the flea market.  This place is huge.  We walked around for almost 3 hours and didn't cover it all.

This was a grill we saw.  They had all different shapes.  This steer was nice and shiny.  It also was $650.
It didn't have a very large cooking surface to be as large as it was.
                                                       Here is an alligator grill.
When I said they had everything at this flea market, I meant everything!  That pink thing is a mock casket.  You can even plan your funeral here.  LOL
How do you like this corvette?  This man was zipping all over the place in his "vette".
A couple were shopping for fruit for their chameleon.  It really was pretty.
There was all kinds of fruits and vegetables.

Even Nascar was represented here.  This is one of the cars Kasey Kahne drove.
This really is a "monster truck".
There were several old cars and trucks on display.  I liked these two red ones.

I don't know who this is. He and his wife were the representatives there with the Great Clips car.  Doug talked with him for a long while about Nascar.
It was a beautiful day.  It sure was nice to be outside for a change.  Hopefully tomorrow will be even better.

Back in Houston, waiting for a baby to get here.

We are here waiting on grand baby #3.  We left Arkansas just in time it seems.  Most of the state is under a winter storm warning or watch.  We had 8 inches of snow a couple of days before we left and I think it has stayed around freezing.

Here in Katy, Texas it has been cool but not too cold.  40's and 50's have felt pretty good.  It is slowly warming up and is 79 right now.  Right now I have the windows open in the motor home and am enjoying a nice breeze coming in.  So glad to be somewhere warm.  LOL

While on our way here, I called to just make sure we could get a spot to stay.  I never dreamed I would have a problem and started not to call.  Well, I am glad I did.  I first called Traders Village.  This is a fairly large campground.  I was shocked when they told me they were booked up until March 25.  Really!  I then called West Lake Resort.  They were booked until the first of the week.  They suggested we call Katy lake RV Park.    All I could get was an answering machine.  No one returned my calls.  I got on the internet and started looking.  I found Houston West RV Park.  They had an opening. YEA!  I then found out that the Houston Rodeo was in progress.  This is one of the largest rodeos in the country.  It lasts all month!  Gee I wish I had known this.

We are set up at Houston West and will stay at least a week here.  Then we will probably move to West Lake RV park because it is so close to Mike's house.

As soon as we got set up, water started leaking around the fridge on the outside.  This part had broken.  Doug did a quick fix on it and we went into town to buy a new one.  We got back and found this note on the door.  It had broken again and was pouring water out.  Our neighbor was afraid it was leaking on the inside too and shut our water off.  Thanks neighbors.  Doug replaced the part and all is well.

This is what I have been up to while at home snowed in.

I love to crochet.  It keeps me busy

These are neck collars.  I have to buy buttons to put on them.

Yep I have been busy.  'Later!
